bone spur

I was at the gym with a group of friends and one of them mentioned that it was time to make an appointment with her doctor to have a bone spur on her toe removed. She'd been to the doctor some months earlier and he'd told her that eventually it would get to the point where it bothered her, and at that time they would remove the spur. She was at a point where it was uncomfortable and becoming painful wearing her gym shoes. I remembered reading about RC dissolving bone spurs, so I suggested she give it a try. Within 3 days of putting RC on the spur it was no longer an issue for her! She also got more relief from the RC on her torn rotator cuff than with Panaway! Obviously it is an oil she doesn't want to be without! Rick

Asthma

Last night Joe had an asthma attack. Usually, his breathing treatment consists of Albuterol and then Pumicort. Usually, these breathing treatments are done 3 times a day for 1 to 3 days depending on the severity of the attack. last night I gave him RC to inhale. He gladly smelled the bottle 3 times and the attack stopped. I can't thank you enough for introducing me to these incredible products. I am always hesitant when using drugs for such a little boy. I felt very peaceful last night for Joe and for myself.

fungus on nails

I had toenail fungus. We researched the Essential Oil
Manual and the oil testimonial website which both recommended Thieves and
Purification and the Animal Scents Ointment. In about the same amount of time
- a month - the fungus disappeared after daily use of the Oils & Ointment. The
Thieves turned the toenail fungus area brown and it kept getting better from there
and grew out. My friend with the same problem, did not want to take those prescriptions which are toxic, to the liver or the ointment creams which we had heard do not work and are a waste
of time and money. THANK GOODNESS for the WONDERFUL YL ESSENTIAL OILS.
So many of the YL Essential Oils are anti-fungal and their benefits overlap for many
purposes. Marguerite

toe nail fungus

I use Melrose to ward off infection
and speed the healing of small cuts on my fingers from my work as a hairstylist.
At that same time, I began to use Melrose, Lemongrass, or Melaleuca Alternafolia
(depending on whatever I decided for the day) to see if I could get rid of a fairly
advanced fungal infection under 4 toenails which had developed about 10 years
earlier while hiking in Nepal for three weeks in damp boots. When I started using
the oils, about 2/3 of each nail on the large toes had disattached from the nail bed.
They were only slightly itchy and uncomfortable but I was concerned about loosing t
he nails altogether. The good news is that the fungus apparently stopped in it's tracks because the itchy,
discomfort stopped within the first few applications and the nails were all normally
attached with no signs of fungus in about the same amount of time it takes a nail to
replace itself under normal circumstances. I have had no re-occurances since that time. The other REALLY good news is that so many clients at our hair salon, as well as
other friends and acquaintances, were interested in our oils and other YL products that
in just a few short years, one of the salon owners and I were able to 'close up shop'
because our Young Living businesses had grown enough to replace that income!
None of this would have been true except that our Young Living products and business
plan work!

sleep

At the Young Living Conference, Marc Schreuder talked about the amplifying power of Copaiba. He said that Copaiba plus Peace and Calming is a slumber party...that's the one I remember. Copaiba amplifies the effect of any essential oil.
Copaiba with:Peppermint = X 4Cypress = X 5Thieves = X 3Peace & Calming =
Slumber Partyt! =......more copaiba--sleep application..............
I have to share my experience with Peace & Calming Essential Oil Blend and Copaiba Essential Oil. I barely slept Sunday and Monday nights and I was mentally exhausted from dealing with my aunt's stroke, her neurologist, orthopedic and pain management doctors, and her children who were doing absolutely nothing but letting Vicki take care of it because get this, they have to work. Nobody seems to remember that Vicki has a job and unlike their jobs where they can take leave and get paid, Vicki does contract work so if she's not working, she's not getting paid.Peace and Calming has never worked for me as well as it has for most users but I do love the smell. My stress must have been so great that my trusty nutmeg and ledum weren't helping get the good night's sleep that it normally does so on Tuesday, after reading about the slumber party mixture, I applied a drop of P&C to each wrist and rubbed the wrist to the inside of the opposite elbow. The I applied a drop of Copaiba to each wrist and did the same thing. In about 10 minutes, I felt chest muscles relax. Within 30 minutes I woke myself up snoring. I slept a solid 6 hours and woke up refreshed at 2:30 am Wednesday. I couldn't seem to get sleepy last night (Wednesday) so around 11:00 pm, I applied the P&C and Copaiba and again, I was soon fast asleep and slept another 6 hours waking up refreshed this morning

Spa Lady on MRSA

1. Are Drug-Resistant Super Bugs Smart? ========================================
Recently in the Health Section of the newspaper, an article read "Pressure is on hospitals to stamp out bacterial bugs."
This reminded me of my past life as an Intensive Care Unit nurse.
I worked as a staff nurse and then an Assistant Head Nurse in ICU for many years. I was involved in dozens of "central line" insertions at the bedside.
Central lines are like big IV's with a big catheter that is threaded through a neck vein. They are a port for intravenous fluids, medications, blood transfusions, and they can also be used to measure pressures and fluid balance in the patient. Other locations used for these central lines are the inside of the arm or the groin area.
These "central lines" are a serious source of entry for bad bacteria that cause infections that don't respond to antibiotics, also called "Super Bugs".
Sterile procedure is always used for these insertions whether in the operating room or at the bedside. It can happen that there is a slip up and the sterile technique is broken, which can result in infection. Infection also comes from carelessness after the insertion - poor procedure during dressing changes, not washing hands between patients, etc.
Years back when I worked in ICU and a patient got an infection (whether they were from central lines, regular IVs, urinary catheters, and surgical incisions) it was most likely always taken care of by antibiotics.
Yes, there were some stubborn bugs that necessitated changing antibiotics, but infections always seemed to clear up.
Today there are infections caused by bacteria that don't respond to any antibiotics.
It is not uncommon for someone to go into a hospital for a minor procedure and end up with a major infection. And it's most unfortunate when it is caused by a Super Bug.
Hospital acquired infections are happening more and more. In a 2003 study in the New England Journal of Medicine 'catheter associated infections' tripled since 1975 So here we are in 2009 and I'm sure its gone up even more!
MRSA (pronounced "mersa" - an acronym for methicillin resistant staph aureous) is one of the antibiotic resistant strains that are among many hospital acquired infections. Anymore this is a common secondary diagnosis. And now this bug is prevalent outside of the hospital!
Why are these bugs resistant to antibiotics now and they weren't before?
Call me crazy...but having a tremendous respect for nature I believe that these microbes are pretty intelligent and they know what's going on here. It's nature's attempt to survive.
We think we know how to control nature, how arrogant is that? (I'm saying "we" as if I'm part of this antibiotic manufacturing and dispensing regime - but I'm not)! We have no clue how smart these critters are - but they are sure starting to let us know!
I think these little guys (smart, but bad, bacteria) know what's coming at 'em when the antibiotics show up on the scene.
They have had enough time over these decades of over-usage to learn the patterns of these chemical molecules and then transmute themselves so they will survive the onslaught.
So now what? Besides common sense preventive measures - like basic hand washing - what else can be done in facing this challenge so that people don't have to continue dying from these infections?
Enter Essential Oils! Here's my (very simple) take on it:
Besides essential oils being naturally anti-microbial, generally speaking, nature takes care of nature.
Nature's inherent desire is to create harmony and balance. When bugs threaten a harmonious environment, the essential oils kick in and get rid of them - respecting the rest of the terrain of good bacteria.
Essential oils are complex enough and vary per batch so there is never a consistent pattern for the bacteria to identify.
Essential oils (only therapeutic grade - and yes, I am ALWAYS referring to Young Living) are effective against bacteria, and viruses and fungus. There are even a few specific oils that are known to attack MRSA.
Researchers at the University of Manchester tested the efficacy of three essential oils against MRSA and E.coli. Within just two minutes of contact, it was found that they combated these and many other bacteria and fungi.
So I say - let's go back to looking at nature as a way to help us with infection control AND let's notbe afraid to tell our health care professionals that we desire to use these amazing essential oils toprotect from infection.
I play my part - when I've had a family member admitted to the hospital, I bring the diffuser and immediately diffuse in the hospital room and do all that I can to clean up the area. Yes, it raises a few eyebrows and gets a bit of attention, but it's a good way to educate the doctors and nurses and protect yourself and your loved one.

melrose

I have a friend who does carpentry work and he was amazed at the tale of
how the Melrose oil helped Bill this week. Bill caught his hand with a
new wood bit and it chewed up especially one finger. I admit that he
scared me a bit when he told me he couldn't get the bleeding stopped! I
packed up at work and started heading home. He peroxided it good and
then put the Melrose on it and then triple antibiotic cream. He said in
just a few minutes, it stopped throbbing. He did have some throbbing
pain late that evening but just held it up above his head until it
stopped. When I got home, we unwrapped it so I could assess the damage
and the wounds were already closing! We redressed it and have done so
every day. Except for that one episode, he's had very little pain! It
is healing amazingly fast! Sue and Bill

nasty rash on face and ear

I'm very new to the oils but the results I'm getting with them are nothing short of amazing! A week ago I suddenly developed a nasty rash on my face that was hot, dry and very itchy but very sensitive as well. My right ear was leaking serum from where it joins my head and both ears were inflamed, red and scaly. I was a mess. None of the creams or oils worked for very long. I put lavender, dry skin beauty serum both straight and mixed in with my moisturizer, V6 etc on it which would help relieve the itch for a while but it would flare up again within a few hours. I didn't know if they were helping, or helping to make it worse as it deteriorated over the week. By this stage my skin was inflamed, thickened, red, itchy and the skin was flaking. It definitely looked like badly cared for leather. Not a good look for someone trying to promote the oils by example! The thing is I couldn't figure out what had triggered this in the first place, nor thereafter. Although I have my suspicions it may have been a 'clean out' from the 5 day cleanse I did. I'm thinking that my body was well enough to be able to throw off toxins through my skin but did it have to be my face and neck? I don't normally get eczema so this whole experience was very unusual for me. I figure the hot, dry and windy weather we've had this week hasn't helped, either! I was lucky enough to get Rose oil recently and today I finally searched the site to see what uses it has. I saw one testimonial where it had been used for a skin disorder so I thought 'Why not', ONE DROP of rose oil was enough to spread over my face, ears and neck. Within SECONDS the itch had stopped, the skin no longer looked leathery and the peeling skin disappeared! Encouraged - well, ecstatic, really - I put some beauty serum for dry skin on as well. It's now a couple of hours later and no more itch, redness, inflammation or peeling! My skin no longer looks like elephant skin. Someone else on this site described rose oil as better than gold and I fully agree! Michelle Plen

Ants

I had problems with ants coming into the house. My little grandaughter was not quite two at the time, and she would crawl
around on her hands and knees, trying to pick the ants up to eat them. So I took the peppermint and dumped peppermint across the door jamb, and as I was doing this, an ant came up the steps to come into the house. When he smelled the peppermint, he reared up on his hind legs with his antennas twirling around, and then turned and went back the way he came.

horse hoof hurt

Several years back we had a stallion that had somehow cut the his front leg pretty deep, just above the hoof. When we first saw that he was hurt, he was almost packing his foot as he walked, it hurt him that bad. We caught him to find out what was going on, and his foot was all infected and swollen. All I had at that time was Othro Sport in the barn, so I saturated it and left him in the corral for the night. The next morning with more oils and the AnimalScent Ointment to take care of him, we headed for the barn. When we got there, we were shocked to see that he was walking around the corral without a limp. Not believing what we were seeing, we couldn't wait to check his foot out. The swelling was gone, and so was the infection, just overnight, from using Othro Sport. I would not have believed it if I had not seen it with my own eyes that Othro Sport could take care of that problem with just one application overnight. So you can see how important it is to use Othro Sport for anything..

Horse leg laceration

We have a colt that got into a wire fence, and cut her hind leg down to the bone and tendon, and ripped all the flesh and hide off the leg from fighting to get out of the fence, which she did, causing all that damage.

We put Peace & Calming on her, to calm her when we caught her, so we could doctor her and see how bad it was. I have never seen a colt that had not had a halter on before that didn't fight after we caught her.
Peace & Calming did a great job. We laid her down, and she just laid there and let us work on her without even a struggle in trying to get up. Our neighbor who is a rancher, and has worked with animals all his life, said we should put her down as she would never grow the flesh or skin back, let alone any hair, and would always be lame.. My daughter called the vet, and she said the same thing. Even my husband thought so, too, that there wasn't any chance in saving her leg without her being lame and in pain all the time..

I said no, let's give her a chance, because we had another horse that fallen through a cattle guard and had lost all the hide and meat down to the shin bone off, and that all healed back. You can not see where it had happened now.

So we set out cleaning it up by washing it out with the Thieves Cleaner because it was really dirty. ( A cap full in a gallon of water). Then we use applied Ortho Sport all over the area, inside and out. (Ortho Sport has great antibacterial, and anti-viral properties). It helps to combat the damaging effect that had been done. Thieves around the outside of the wound, Melrose inside the wound. Then the AnimalScent Ointment on top of the wound and wrapped the leg. It had cut about a good 5" to 6" long strip off the back of her leg. Again the neighbor and vet thought that she would be lame the rest of her life (IF SHE EVER HEALED). They said that with the tendon exposed it would dry up and shrink causing her to be lame.

Well, to make a long story short, she recovered, and all hair has grown back except right at the top, which is hard to see where the scar begins. The neighbor was so surprised that the flesh grew back over the tendon, and new skin, along with the hair. It took a long time, but we never gave up using the oils and Othro Sport and AnimalScent Ointment. With every bandage change you could see it healing, which saved her life.

Here are the pictures. I did not get pictures taken when it first happened because I did not have my camera, but later when the flesh had filled in and covered the bone and the tendon. However, it shows how bad the wound was.

Peace and Calming

Testimony using Peace and Calming to bring a groundhog out of shock:
We just had an experience yesterday with a groundhog in the backyard. We have a lab/border collie; her name is Sweetie. She's medium size, just over one year old, and we also have a little terrier in the backyard, a dog we "babysit" for a friend. She is 10 years old, so not so active. But they caught a groundhog in the yard and they were both after it. We ran out to see what the commotion was, and as we got out there, the groundhog was stuck between them not moving, but defending itself. Sweetie looked around saw us, and then probably wanting to show off to us (she's only ever come in contact with a little bird that she attacked once but nothing this big!) so she pounced on it, grabbed it by it's back and shook it like a rag doll and then dropped it again a few feet away, but standing over it.
My son, Reuben, who is 7, was worried about the groundhog and wasn't about to stand by while she killed it, and wanted to get Sweetie off of it. We distracted Sweetie, got her inside, and the little terrier ran off immediately. Reuben went closer to take a look at the groundhog to see the damage. It was lying there on its back, breathing and obviously in shock. There were no signs of blood, but we couldn't tell if there was any internal damage to the animal, or if it was just in shock.
I got Reuben to run inside to get the Peace and Calming, because it's heart was right there in front of us, with a racing beat. I dropped 2 drops (tried to do one but 2 came out!) directly on it's heart, and talked to the animal, and told it we only wanted to help, and everything was going to be okay. At first it couldn't move its head. My other son had come out and was standing one side of it, and Reuben and I were standing the other side. It suddenly turned its head and looked at Sam, then turned it's head to look at us. You could visibly see within 1 minute it had calmed down, come out of shock, and that's when it looked at us all.

Then I told Reuben to run inside and grab the camera. He was only gone 30 seconds. By that time the groundhog had flipped over onto it's feet, but was still standing there. Just as I took a pic of the groundhog sitting there, it ran off down the side of the fence, found an opening and out it went! It was fine, it had just been in shock and couldn't move.
The kids were happy that they had helped the animal, and helped it recover enough to go on its way, and saved it from being killed. It was a very intense few minutes. The groundhog recovered almost immediately, thanks to Peace and Calming. Karyn Fisher

Rotator cuff

I had a problem with my rotator cuff 13 years ago. The oils helped some but I was discouraged. One day I cornered Gary Young and asked him what I could do. He said, "there are products to help you and your challenge is to study and figure it out.''I took him at his word and started to study and experiment with other products that I had not used. Back then we did not have much to 'really' study, so we experimented.I found what helped me:I rubbed Valor over my shoulder.....followed by Clove. I did this several times a day. I added Sulfurzyme and used it faithfully everyday. 3 teaspoons spaced through out the day. Today I have no pain, and I can raise my arm with no distress or discomfort. In fact, I attribute Sulfurzyme a 'Magic Bullet' product for joint pain. Today I have added BLM, too.My suggestion is for all of us to keep experimenting and trying new products. Remember our body chemistries are all different.Respectfully,Shauna Dastrup

BP

My blood pressure went very high a few day ago. I had an inspiration to put in a capsule 3 drops of Goldenrod and 2 drops of Helichrysum. I retook my blood pressure in 30 minutes and it dropped to 140/84 from 184/110 and it stayed down.

wasp

My husband was bitten by a wasp on this hand. We immediately put on Purification oil and lavender oil. It began to hurt again in about 5 minutes. We did the same the second time and this time the pain was gone and never came back. He said he could not even see the puncture wound. Jan

blood clot

My name is Mr. Davell Lloyd. I am a pastor of a small flock in Sharon, TN. Since I've been a pastor I've been encouraged to be an example spiritually and health wise. I encourage the congregation to daily get out and do some physical exercise.

One day my barber and I chose to play racquetball. As I was going for the ball I twisted my right ankle, and simultaneously I pulled my left calf muscle. The pain was so excruciating that I just laid there. Eventually I gathered enough strength to get up. I'm a strong person so I didn't worry much about it. I figured it would be okay after a while. After a period of a few days my legs didn't get better, especially my left leg and due to increasing pain and a lack of healing I decided to get them checked out.

I visited various specialty clinics and they ran tests on my bones, ligaments, and muscles. A physical therapist informed me that I shouldn't put a lot of stress on my left leg, and if I did, it could possibly form blood clots. He recommended using a wheelchair for a while to help ease the strain in my leg. As a result of this counsel a wheelchair became my strength.

It seemingly started to get better. I progressed from the wheelchair to crutches, and next I began to use the cane. I was so excited about the progress my leg began to make. I drove the entire way on a (4) four-hour trip to Alabama with my wife...without stretching my leg. This strain caused the situation to take an unexpected turn. The next day a pain struck me in my left leg so severe, that I couldn't begin to explain it.

My wife took me to the hospital to get an ultra sound, and that's when my fears became a reality. They found blood clots in my left calf muscle, and a knot behind my knee. My whole foot was twisted, and I couldn't walk on it or comfortably sit it on the ground. The doctor wanted to prescribe Warfarin (Coumadin). I researched this prescription drug, and to my surprise it was also used in rat poisoning.

For the past six years I have been an advocate of natural healing, herbs, and prayer. After hearing the horror stories from the doctor I didn't really know what to do. The stories were terrifying, and they were somewhat of a mental torment. This situation reminded me of a close relative in Chicago, IL, who was suffering with severe blood clots. It was so bad she had to have stents put in for her blood to filter through wherever there was a low blood supply.

I was frightened by what could happen to me. I received so much pressure from my family and the doctors. As a pastor, I wanted to be an encouraging example of divine healing. I wanted the powerful testimony of God healing me. This triggered my enthusiasm in seeking God for a divine answer for my healing. With the help of God, I made the decision to take the natural route instead of using the deadly prescription drug that the doctor recommended.

A young lady in my congregation asked me a question that was unknowingly the beginnings to greater health. She asked, " Have you ever heard of essential oils?" I told her that I'd heard of them, and at that time one of my children had a condition in his body. He would break out with parasites on his stomach. He even stated once that he could feel them. I ordered supplements, one called PARAFREE for the removal of parasites and another one called DI-GIZE. After my son started taking these supplements, amazingly the parasites went away.

I found out she was a Young Living distributor. She handed me packets containing information about the oils and other supplements that the company had to offer. She suggested I consider using these essential oils. While fervently praying and looking for a divine answer, God led me to a scripture that stated " if thou criest after knowledge and liftest up thy voice for understanding; if thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hidden treasures; then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God."
(Proverbs 2:3-5)

It wasn't long after I read these verses that I began reading the Young Living packets. I was really impressed with what I read about the NINGXIA RED JUICE, and I soon ordered my own portion of it through this young lady. When the juice was delivered to my home I received a compact disc (CD) with it. When I began to listen to this CD the testimony of Dr. Gary Young immediately drew my ears to a familiar sound. I could empathize with the descriptions he gave of suffering from blood clots and pains in his leg.

I was so shocked that I began to cry and thank God for showing me a way of escape! I ordered the same oils Dr. Young used. These oils were HELICHRYSUM and CISTUS. When I received them I began to apply them 6-7 times daily to my leg and I also put them in capsules and took them 2-3 times daily and started exercising my leg slowly to regain strength.

It has been six months since this horrifying incident took place. Now both of my feet are comfortable and steady as I walk without the pain. Not only am I out of the wheel chair, but I have put down my crutches and my cane for good. I started lifting weights with my left leg to revitalize the depleted calf muscle. I initially began lifting 50 lbs., but I have increased my lifting to 375 lbs. I am also amazingly running 2-3 miles daily.

The thing that is the most amazing to me is what happened when I called my upline to tell her how Dr. Young's testimony of recovering from his injury inspired me. She mistakenly thought I was referring to one of the other life threatening injuries he's had. I said, "No, the injury dealing with his blood clots, the one described on the CD I receive upon my order of NingXa Red juice". She asked me in a puzzled manner, " how did you get that CD when you haven't signed up for the business yet? " She explained to me that this was a training CD for inspiring Young Living distributors.

I don't believe in coincidence. I know that God and his mighty powers ordered it up so I could receive that CD. The Lord gave wisdom to someone so I could find out about the power of pure therapeutic grade essential oils. I just want to thank Dr. Young and Young Living for being a part of my life, and especially a part of my recovery. Thank You!

bugs

I have a great 'blend of blends' for the critters,(but not for those cold callers - any suggestions out there? ha ha )
Here is my favorite "Stay Away Spray":
Mix together:
ThievesPurification Peppermint
Equal number of drops (depending how strongyou want it - start with 6 drops and work yourway up) in 4 oz distilled water in cobalt blueor brown glass spray bottle.
Wasps don't like Clove (its in Thieves), Mosquitos don't like Purification (it has natural citronella), and ants despise Peppermint!

asthma

Ten yr old Duncan!!! He has ALWAYS joined whoever has been sick, and all his asthma problems are soon to follow. Why didn't we come to you 5 yrs ago??? A couple of months ago, using Ravensara, he was 80% over his asthma except when he'd get allergies or a cold and then we were forced to rely again on his asthma prescriptions. After going to you finally, you explained to HIM how important for him it is to stay away from the dairy and sugar and we put him on Inner Defense to keep him from getting sick, and that was almost two months ago and in his TEN YEARS, he has NEVER gone this long without sickness and asthma problems during the winter months. I thought it was awfully bold of you to tell him if he'd do what you told him to do, that by April it'd probably be the last of the asthma he EVER has for the rest of his life. But these oils have taught me to EXPECT the miracle, and I can't BELIEVE this, but it looks like he's over his asthma forever. We will continue staying away from dairy and sugar, and continue Inner Defense. These oils have SAVED us so much money on prescriptions! MF

diverticulitis

I had Diverticulitis about 5 years ago. Not knowing what it was because I had never had that problem before I saw a doctor.

The doctor diagnosis was diverticulitis and he gave me a prescription also. I did not fill it either, just went home and started using :
Comfortone and I.C.P. Di-Gize, Thieves in a capsule with 3 drops oregano and cleared it up completely.

bone pain

Somehow I hit the top of my 4th toe left foot on a wooden chair leg. This was painful. I put on Idaho Balsam Fir, then Lavender, then Deep Relief roll on. It was very tender when I applied the first oil. Repeated about every 20 min for several hours. The soreness was gone after the first cycle. No swelling, only slight bruising. No impaired movement of toe. Mary Schlueter, RN

diarrhea

Under not so pleasant circumstances, but in a funny and intuitive way I found out that Ledum appears to be quite helpful with diarrhea. For the last two and a half days I have been experiencing a bad case of diarrhea (food poisoning or one of these strange viruses going around). Nothing seemed to help (Di Gize, Thyme, Lemon, Oregano, Mountain Savory, Ningxia Red, Ginger, Cypress, Chamomile). Yesterday evening on one of my visits to the bathroom I took a book with me as a distraction from the discomforts. Coincidentally it turned out to be a book on medicinal plants I had gotten from the Library (it was the closest one to grab on the way). Well, sitting there in my pain I thought let's see to what page/plant it will randomly open. It turned out to be Labrador Tea (Ledum). Under medical uses it mentions among others "It is slightly laxative, yet helps soothe diarrhea". I had to grin and say "thanks". Since I definitely was in need for something soothing, I gave it a try (5 drops in a capsule). It made a small yet noticeable difference. This morning I repeated this, and the attacks have lessened tremendously (and are more comfortable if one can call it that). I think I will from now on more often open books randomly and see what helpful hints are to be found :)Soon to be well,Elisabeth

pits stink

I have decided to only use deodorant without any toxic chemicals. It is my understanding that the chemicals that are put into antiperspirants, may have a link to breast cancer. Unfortunately, living in humid Texas weather can be very difficult when only using natural deodorants. They just don’t seem to work all day for me. I found, by accident, if I use Lavender Essential Oil on the bottom of my feet, my pits no longer smell all day long! I tested my findings and sure enough, if I didn’t put the oils on my feet my pits would stink within a few hours. I then started using the lavender again and the stinky pits are gone! Another amazing find of how Essential Oils can change your life. Sheryl Hawkinson

grampa kidney failure

My grandfather has been quite ill for some time now. He has Alzheimer's and then we found out his kidneys are only functioning at 22%. So, I've been applying oils for his kidney's (juniper, ledum, lemon grass and Release) for a few weeks. He fell and hurt his hip at home and eventually ended up in a nursing home to get back on his feet. What a joke. I walked in to visit and annoint him with oils. I found him in the common area. I was HORRIFIED by what I saw. His skin was ashy gray in color and his head was slumped on his chest. He wouldn't lift it when spoken to. I got him back to his room and had him lie down on the bed. I removed his shoes and socks and applied those four oils to the bottom of his feet. Within ten minutes the color came back to his face and he was alert and talking. My Mother and Aunt both were there and saw it. They were both impressed. The nursing home kicked my Grandfather out after his insurance ran out. This was a blessing for sure. He had Alhziemer's going in but when he came out, just two weeks later, he couldn't put a sentence together. He was nowhere near that bad. Coming out of there he was wearing diapers, which he wasn't when he went in there. He also got a bad case of pneumonia as well. Of course had to pay thousands of dollars for this top notch care too. When he got home I rubbed RC blend on his chest and three days later his pneumonia was gone! His kidney's were functioning at only 22%. He was one step away from going on dialysis. After annointing him with the oils for his kidney's (ledum, juniper, lemongrass and Release) three days a week for three months his kidney's are finally getting better! He's also been on the NigXia Red and the K & B tincture which I know have helped too. I live 45 minutes away from him so three days a week was about all that I could manage. I know if my family would listen to me and quit feeding him junk like glazed doughnuts and soda he would be getting better even faster. Unfortunately I don't have control over that. Rachel Lipovec

cat kidney failure

My kitty, Sammy, suffered a drastic reversal of health over avaction we took. We left town for only 3 days to visit relatives. When we returned, I was shocked to discover that Sammy had lost all of her hair on her hind quarters, was listless and wouldn't eat. We took her to the vet, and after some tests were taken it was found that she was suffering from loss of kidney function. There wasn't much the vet could offer, so I decided to turn to the oils that had helped my family and I so many times before. After I applied 1 drop of Helichrysum, diluted w/ V6 oil on her spine (down around the kidney area) for 2 days, her kidneys started working again, her appetite returned, and her behavior returned to normal. I continued giving her this diluted Helichrysum mix, just 1 drop every day or so, and although she seemed to be feeling well, her hair wasn't growing back. I started giving her a tsp of NingXia Red mixed with her food twice a day, and w/in a few short weeks, her coat grew back and was gleaming with health! Its now been several months and she really looks forward to her Helichrysum and NingXia each morning! Peggy

kidney stones

Kidney stones are no fun! My husband describes it as the body trying to push a watermelon or a jagged bolder through a garden hose only on a much smaller visual scale, and more constant pain than he has ever experienced! He has had, on four different occasions, the experience of dealing with kidney stones, twice requiring an emergency room visit or doctor office visit. This past year we were introduced to Young Livings Essential Oils and with my husband’s most recent kidney stone attack we applied oils to see if we could avoid another expensive emergency room visit and pharmaceutical treatment. The EODR suggests the single oils of wintergreen/birch, geranium, juniper, helichrysum, fennel, and lemongrass; And making a blend of Eucalyptus radiate, Geranium, and Juniper. We didn’t have all the single oils but we did have most of them in YO blends. We used: •Panaway with helichrysum, wintergreen/birch, clove and peppermint •RC with Eucalyptus globulus, Eucalyptus radiate, Eucalyptus australiana, Eucalyptus citriodora, Myrtle, Pine, Spuce, Marjoram, Lavender, Cypress, and Peppermint. •Lemongrass •Juniper •Lemon I layered 5 to 6 drops of each of Panaway, RC, Lemongrass and Juniper over his kidney and gave him a glass of purified water with 5 to 6 drops of lemon in it. Within ten minutes, the pain switched from on to OFF! Just like a light switch the pain was gone! Three days later, he passed the largest stone ever without any pain and without any visible blood. A week after that, again he passed another notably sized stone without pain or visible blood. We believe Young Living’s Essential Oils are responsible for my husband’s quick recovery and will continue to make major differences in our health and lives. God is so good to bring these oils into our lives to be used! Tracy Rushton 2006-05-22

kidney stone pain

Author: Sherlene Turner Country: AustraliaPosted: 2009-04-20
Four weeks ago it looked like our male guinea pig had kidney or bladder stones because he would squeak in obvious pain when trying to wee. His wee looked like small amounts of white liquid with chalky-type sediment. We checked on the internet and with guinea pig breeders and were told that these are signes of kidney/bladder stones and that it needs immediate veterinarian intervention. Due to just having taken two other animals to the vet and trying to recover from the huge vet bills, we didn't take him to the vet to confirm the stones but we did consult the Essential Oils Desk Reference. We put lemon oil on the guinea pig's tummy and there was never any more squeaking. The sad part is though that we didn't dilute the oil enough for him and it burnt his tummy a little bit, but we didn't know until after it scabbed over as he didn't squeak about that pain. Anyway, we've learned two things: according to Gary Young, Frankincense and Lemon oils combined rapidly dissolved his own kidney stones (and stopped his pain), but the guinea pig's stones seems to have dissolved with just lemon oil; and essential oils need to be diluted for topical use with guinea pigs. I guess that means that we used our guinea pig as a guinea pig to test essential oils! It's been 4 weeks and the guinea pigs urine is now clear and he does not squeak with pain when he does his wees. We can't prove the oils helped him to get over whatever problem he had, but it might be worth trying if your guinea pigs is in pain with kidney stones.

kidney stone pain

Jessica Wild, the author and moderator of the Wild Harvest Yahoo! group, in response to a group member's question about her husband either flushing a kidney stone or relieving the pain associated with it. Jessica suggests a combination of 10 drops of pure Frankincense and 10 drops of pure Lemon essential oil in a capsule, taken every four hours. The beautiful aromatic essential oil of Frankincense is obtained by distilling the bark of the Frankincense tree that grows in Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia and China. You will likely be familiar with the reference to Frankincense from the gifts that the Magi brought to the Christ Child, immortalized in the Christmas carol "We Three Kings" (as an aside, there is nothing in the Bible to indicate how many kings, or wise men, actually visited the Christ Child in his birth cave/stable). Along with Myrrh and Gold, it was considered a very precious commodity of the time... in fact, an essential part of any wealthy family's 'medicine cabinet', if you will pardon the pun. Frankincense was used as a cleanser and a balm for wounds, to quell fevers, fight coughs and colds, soothe bronchitis, clear laryngitis, calm the stressed, and embalm the dead. Frankincense was a birth-to-death agent.Pure, unadulterated Frankincense essential oil still works. It makes perfect sense as a purifying, calming additive in a capsule to help with kidney stones.

Frankenincense kill bladder cancer

Bio-midical central and alternative medicine journal reported a study on bladder cancer.

Methods: Frankincense oil-induced cell viability was investigated in human bladder cancer J82 cells and immortalized normal bladder urothelial UROtsa cells in 1 to 6 hours.

Conclusion: Frankincense oil appears to distinguish cancerous from normal bladder cells and
suppress cancer cell viability. Microarray and bioinformatics analysis proposed multiple pathways that can be activated by frankincense oil to induce bladder cancer cell death

hospital stay

I was in the hospital for 7 days a few weeks ago. I had major sugary for a hernia and a sm. bowel resection. I did prepare before hand so I would not get MRSA or any other infections. Two weeks before I started taking in a capsule 8 drops of Longevity oil and 1 drop each rosemary, thyme, 3 times a day.

I applied Thieves oil to my feet daily and at the hospital I used Thieves bar of soap for a sponge bath and Thieves mouthwash to brush my teeth. I also used Balsum Fir to reduce the pain. Most of the nurses and aides said my room smelled like a "spa" and loved to come into my room.

My friend Thyra York, came to see me and did Jin Shi Judso on my feet to get the bowel sounds activated. While she did that I applied for the first time Di-Tone oil on my abdomen. Well.....it was about 30 minutes later the nurse came in and heard my bowel sounds. That was a very exciting moment for me. If you don't have bowel sounds you can't leave the hospital.

I am healing very well, I still can't drive or travel but I am applying lavender oil and frankincense, and using Rose ointment to my scar. It is healing quickly the doctors are pleased with my progress. I still have some residue from the anesthetic and sometimes loose concentration. But peppermint helps me stay focused. I just started getting back to the computer for short intervals.

oregano flu

From time to time I take my Nansee to an ND Scientist whospecializes in viruses, bacteria, parasites & of course cancer. It'sa long story but mainly we go to have her blood checked. The doctorknows I am with Young Living Essential Oils. so when I called to makean appointment he asked if I had an unopened bottle of Oregano and ifso please bring with, I would like to test it.I have never presented Young Living to him as my main objective. Iwas there for care for Nansee. In due time & the right time of courseI will. When we walked in there was a lady leaving who had Influenza. Thedoctor checked Nansee's blood under the scope and then asked if Ibrought the Oregano. I handed the bottle to him & he said I want totell you something about Gary Young but first I need to get somethingto test this with from the other room. When he came back he startedto talk about the test procedure. I reminded him he was going to tellme something about Gary. Yes Indeed he was.Your Gary Young is a genius when it comes to essential oils and isconsidered a genius in the scientific community. He has without adoubt the best farms in the U.S. and second to none in the world.Guess who's gloating hearing all of this? Next he said, aside fromthat he also has built the best distillers in the world. All of hisstudies of the oils around the world has sure paid off and of coursethe contribution of his formulations and writings has put him on topof a select group. While he was talking he opened the Oregano and said. " You wereright Maurice, this is good stuff, no need to test it as the smell ofcarvatrol in the oil is perfect as is the color." Trust me folksI had no idea this man new so much about essential oils.Next, Would you like to see what your Oregano will do to Influenza.I have it on a slide from the lady who just left. Look in thetelescope first to see what it looks like. It was a black spiderymass surrounded by blood. Now her sample is between two slides and wewill apply the Oregano to the edge. If it is as good as I say, itwill suck the black mass to it and you will see the mass turn white. This means of course that it is destroyed. He applied the oil to theedge and said look now into the scope and tell me what is happening.I was amazed. The oregano was pulling the black mass toward it andthe mass was turning white. Elaine

Red Ant bites

Dale went to a funeral in Lousiana. (Bug World USA) He had gotten about 12 red ant bites on one foot and ankle and had been suffering his whole vacation. The afternoon he returned home
to his oils and Loveland he called to find out what oils might take the pain away. His whole foot was swollen, hot, red and very painful. The EDR suggested lavender, melrose, and peppermint. 25 minutes later he called me back on the phone, with an wonderful report. The Edema was gone, both feet were the same size, the puss had stopped ozzing out of the bites, and the pain was gone completely. He had been in pain and itching for two days and in 25 minutes the oils had fixed his foot and ankle.

weeds

Essential oils can naturally destroy weeds.
A study was done by the Appalachian Fruit Research
Station in West Virginia on the herbicidal effects of plant- derived oils (aka essential oils).
Twenty five oils were tested for their herbicidal effects on dandelion leaves. The most effective oils found were red thyme, summer savory, cinnamon and clove. These were found to be the most phytotoxic.
Cinnamon had the highest herbicidal activity. This was primarily because of eugenol, the main component in cinnamon.
Essential oils can be used directly on the weeds. Or they can be added to other natural products such as herbicidal soaps, to enhance their effects. These soaps work by penetrating the waxy coating on plant leaves and cause them to dry out.

Keep Rabbits Out of the garden

Many bug sprays use soap as a fixative to keep the poison on the leaf. Soap might give them loose stools if they ate at ton of leaves with the soap but itself will not hurt a rabbit.
The Home Spa Lady suggested Citrus and a soapy water mixture with Thieves Household
Cleaner 'Thieves' brings in many spices that might have an effect.
--Sprinkle that mixture over the area
--Make a spray of:
-distilled water
-orange oil and/or lemon oil
-eucalyptus
--Spray over the area

Rabbit proof garden

Is there an essential oil that I can put in my
garden to keep rabbits away from my pansies and other
flowers they like to eat - one that will not hurt the
rabbit or the flower?

cough

Cheryl works as an nurse at a nursing home. She is constantly around sick old people.
For about a year she has had a persistant cough that starts at 4pm, especailly on the days that she works. On the third day off she has just about gotten the cough to stop.
We started her on Raven. She loved the wonderful warm feeling on her chest and it stopped the cough within two minutes. Raven has eucalyptus radiata and raven sara in it. Well she called me and was out of her Raven and coughing her head off. I had RC on hand. I thought it would work just as good for her. It has Eucalyptus globulus, E radiata, spruce, citriodora and pine in it.
RC stands for respiratory control so we gave it a try. It made the cough worse and didn't help at all. What do you all think? Got any ideas why if did not work?

Helichrysum used for:

circulatory disorders, arteriosclerosis, atherosclerosis, blood clots, blood thinner,
hematoma (swelling or blood-filled tumors), bleeding, hypertension, congestive heart failure,
cardiac arrhythmias, phlebitis, Herpes virus, liver disorders, detoxifying and stimulating liver cell function, skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, scar tissue, varicose veins),
sciatica, sinus infections, respiratory conditions, hearing loss.

Helichrysum

Helichrysum is a truly amazing chelating agent, a major chelator of metallics, but also of chemicals. Because of this, and because it also stimulates liver cell function, becuase of this it is used in many liver cleanses.
Clinical research has shown that helichrysum and ledum work synergistically to break down and dissolve the fat cells in the liver, so that the chemicals that are in the fat cells can be released and transported out of the liver.

heart

One of its most helpful properties, however, is helichrysum's ability to chelate chemicals and other toxins from the body. This makes it an excellent oil for the support of the heart.
So take it, to make a healthy non toxic heart. Josh

anti-coagulant

The actions of helichrysum oil are anti-coagulant (it will dissolve blood clots — ) I have made it an excellent substitute for the aspirin my Doctor ordered. It is anesthetic, anti-spasmodic, anti-viral, mucolytic (thins mucus and other body secretions containing mucin) and expectorant. It has also been studied for its ability to aid in the regeneration of tissues, and has been shown to reduce scar tissue and skin discolorations. Rita G.

bone spur

I had a bone spur the size of the end of my thumb on the bottom of my heel which hurt like the dickens. At night I could hardly wait to get off my foot because it hurt so bad but when I did, it hurt worse. During the night when I had to get up to go to the bathroom it took all
I could muster up, to hobble to the bathroom because I couldn't put any weight at all on the foot. I had tried R.C. because I had heard that it had dissolved other peoples bone spurs. But it didn't help mine. I was to the point where I was maybe considering about going to the doctor to see about getting surgery on the heel because I was tired of the pain all the time. Then one day there was a medical doctor on T.V. and he was talking about doing laser surgery on
bone spurs. So I was really interested in seeing what he had to say about it. The first thing he said was before they did surgery, they would give the patient cortisone shots and then see what happened. Da-a-a-a, What was the matter with me. Why hadn't I thought of that before? We have a natural cortisone like reaction with our tree oils so I applied Idaho Balsam Fir and R.C. together on my heel. The first night the pain was less and in three days the spur was gone and
that has been over eight years and I have not had any problems since. My husband was having the similar problem with his foot on the ball of the foot last spring and I applied Idaho Balsam Fir and R.C. to his foot and in a week his pain was gone and has not came back. What a relief not to have to resort to surgery and go through more pain and compromise the immune system when we have these wonderful oils to help us.

burns

My girlfriend Mary lou had a car accident 4 weeks ago. when the air-bag hit her in the face, it burned her left cheek, all under and on her nose and upper lip, this was all blistered. I got to her the next day and started with Helichrysum on a cotton ball and just dabbed the blisters........within two hours the blisters were gone. We then followed up with Lavender and my trusty Aloe plant. One week later you can just see a faint (very faint) pinkish where the burn was deep. The hospital had said these were 3rd.degree burns. Thankful for all of our blessings and oils are one .Now three weeks later you can't even tell.

Infected Wound

Wound Care:
Clean and debreid the wound on a daily basis. Use sterile 4x4 to clean the site. Do not let the scab form on wound. It needs to heal from the inside out.
Put 4 or 5 drops of lavender followed by four or five drops of Melrose, Thieves, and Frankincense. If it starts stinging dilute with V6 oil You can use V6 between the Melrose,Thieves, and Frankincense. If Frankincense stings this means there is infection present. Use animal scents ointment to seal and protect the wound. Place a non sick 4x4 over the wound site to prevent from drying out. Melrose is an antiseptic, repairs and regenerates new tissue
Thieves is antimicrobial Lavender heals and protects the skin Frankincense is immune stimulating and antibacterial Put Thieves on bottoms of feet. 5 drops of Thieves in 1 tsp of V6 and massage on thymus gland

allergies

I got my kitten on Christmas eve a few years ago at age 5 months, along with her brother. She came to me with her name intact, it was Angel and it fit her to the T.

But we had an incident a couple of years ago where she developed a lethal allergy. I noticed she was scratching the fur off of her head, right above her eye brow and the side of her head under her ear, until she was bleeding. I went to a naturopathic vet who had me keep her in one of those large cone collars so she would stop scratching.

At first she was surprisingly good natured about the cone. She actually seemed to enjoy entertaining others by making us laugh with how silly she looked into it. She adored people and I was surprised she had managed to even turn these lemons into lemonade. It just this special cat's nature. But no matter how frequently I went to the vet and tried every salve, cream, holistic injections, infusions..nothing was working. Nothing. And I was getting nickel and dimed to death.

Angel was getting miserable and was getting worse. The moment I would take the collar off, she was scratching as hard as she could, non stop. She would scratch til she bled and I was forced to put the collar back on. After almost 4 weeks it was clear she was at the end of her rope (and I was getting close to mine ) Angel had given up. She was suddenly losing weight rapidly, she acted very depressed because of the cone making her life one where she couldn't play and interact with her brother, she couldn't do anything but lay there, it was quite hindering and I could tell, Angel was truly beginning to die.

She was clearly losing hope, this beautiful long haired calico who had brought hope to so many with her extremely loving and playful energy and personality. I called a specialist who wanted me to start giving her injections for the rest of her life, about every 6 weeks. At hundreds of dollars a shot, each time. Plus keep in mind, the holistic vet had told me she would have the allergies for the rest of her life, he told me that many times.

My instincts had been screaming at me to use the essential oils. It was one of those times I had momentarily taken off her cone collar and truthfully, I was as desperate as she was, it must been misery to itch so violently and have this cone on your head that won't even let you scratch it. As pet owners yourself, you know it is misery for you to watch your beloved fur children and companions suffer.

I grabbed for a bottle of what I thought was lavender, that was my first instinct, to put on her and put it on a q-tip and dabbed the spot on her scalp that was rubbed hairless and bleeding again. To my shock and amazement..........she slowed down her scratching and then within about 30 seconds simply .........stopped scratching. It was the FIRST time in 4 weeks.

Needless to say, it wasn't lavender I had grabbed but it was Valour! And it was the right oil. I dotted just a little bit on q-tip and dabbed it on the spot on her head and under her ear. She would lick then rub the furry side of her paw to her head to clean it off the oil, thus ingesting it internally as well.

Within 2 days I was able to start letting her out of her cone collar for a few hours at at time several times a day, and within a week could leave it off overnight and within 2 weeks I just just dabbing it on as maintenance once every other day. She was out of her collar full time by that time.

All of her hair grew back, she put her weight back on, she was bubbly again and to this day, she has never had another allergy. since. The holistic vet had made a mantra out of telling me she would have this til the end of her life. I know Angel would have died without the this intervention and it would have been an uncomfortable drawn out death. And there was no way I could afford the ultra ultra expensive injections and smathering of blood tests every 6 weeks.

My Angel got her own miracle thanks to the essential oils!

cats

Hi Marion,I understand your panic state. You don't want anything happening to yourdaughter's Christmas gift. It is most likely his stomach trying to adjust to the change of food along with him being sick or he may have some worms,it's hard to tell without examining the kitten first. So I have to try the good old hit-n-miss technique and go from your responses after that. How long have you had the kitten and what are you feeding him? I would also like to know your kitty's name because I like referring to animals by their name. More personal, I feel.Cats often vomit 2 things, bile and hairballs mixed with food. It canreally be frustrating for people and I see this a great deal. Di-tone(Di-gize) is the best thing for the precious baby. I would suggest, also, tipping his ears with a mixture of purification oil and V6 oil. This will take care of the ear problem over time. You can also take a Qtip and gentlyclean out his ears and I usually will then follow it up with a Qtip with adiluted purification mix (1 drop purification to 5 drops of V6 or othercarrier oil) and swipe the inside of the ear. Be sure not to drop the oil directly in the ears, but apply it with a Qtip instead. That will kill the mites or the infection and you should see progress in a few days. Do this 2times a day. Now for the Di-gize; dilute 1 drop of Di-gize to 5 drops of V6and apply this to his anus and genital area that way when he licks himself he will get the benefits of the oil internally. This will eliminate the vomiting and also deworm him at the same time. Di-gize is wonderful for stomach problems as well as the digestive tract, urinary tract, and the intestinal tract.Give this a try and see what happens. My cats get Di-gize mixed in their food daily as well as BYJ or NRJ whichever I have on hand at the time. I really hopes this helps and if you have any questions, comments or concerns feel free to email me. I am leaving the house right now, but will be backin a few hours. Please keep me posted. Thank you.

cats

Cats metabolize things very differently from dogs and other animals. Certain oils are potentially toxic to cats and could result in injury or even death, if applied incorrectly. for example, cats generally have adverse reactions to citrus products, and citrus oils are sometimes used to deter cats from frequenting an area. Also, cats are very sensitive to strong odors. A safe alternative, when in doubt, would be to mist them lightly with floral water. Consulting with a veterinarian is a good policy before applying oils to cats for the first time. General Guidelines:
For small animals: (cats and small dogs) Apply 3-5 drops DILUTED
(80-90%) oil mixture per application.
Di-Gize would really help his digestion, vomiting and parasite if any. Use Di-Gize in strong dilution, or just let him smell it. I have used Geranium for ear mites. You can feel little bumps all over the ear if they are there. Its the mites and eggs. Dilute and add one drop of
geranium then rub it on your fingers and massage over the ear making
sure of not getting it inside the eardrum.

The wolfberries would be good for her in her food.

cats

Marion, Here is some info that you need to be aware of. Never give oils to cats internally
Cats are very sensitive and you need to use oils with caution. If oils are used internally the kitten
will foam and froth at the mouth and do flip flops and bury its nose in the ground like a dog
does when sprayed by a skunk.

My daughter thought that giving our cat Di-Gize 1 drop in the mouth for parasites that it would
be good for the cat. Well that is what happened. She was crying and calling me to come and
save the cat. I thought she was going to die when I saw the cat. Poor thing. Diluting the oil
and putting it on the kitten is okay so when and if they lick it off they are not getting it straight.

cats

Good morning all;I need some help please, if you can spare a moment. My daughter's Christmaskitten is sick. He won't eat, his ears are out sideways (they've done thata lot - I thought at first it was ear mites - maybe there are two issueshere) and he's been vomiting on and off. After he vomited the first night,Monday, I used Di-tone on his pads and I don't think he threw-up again thatday. Yesterday I got him to eat a bit of canned food and he seemed spunkierso I thought he was on the mend. I used on drop of Frank. on him before Iwent to bed for good measure. Last night he was vomiting again (just foamystuff) and now he won't eat again and he looks miserable. My thought was initially that he had eaten something that didn't agree withhim, or that perhaps he had an obstruction in his bowels. If either ofthose things are the case what oils should I use? Or does this sound like acommon kitten problem, or some feline disease, or what.....HELP! I feel this is a bit urgent and if your suggestions today don't workimmediately I will take him to the vet tonight.Thank you for your time everybody.MarionKinmount, ON

cough

I was helping Cheryl to understand how oils worked, she was just being introduced to complimentary health care ideas. This took along time and she was at my house coughing all morning. About lunch I got and idea and went and got the Raven and asked her to put it on her chest, saving my lungs from her bugs. Right away she stopped hacking, and she loved the nice warm feeling. The rest of the afternoon she didn't hack again. It was a great example that when the oils work it usually takes less than four minutes to see your symptoms go away. They are powerful and they do accomplish what they say they will.

drugs in water by Dr. Mercola

As reported in New Scientist, a comprehensive survey of U.S. drinking water reveals that your drinking water is also likely laced with a wide variety of pharmaceuticals and hormonally active chemicals.
The 11 most frequently detected compounds were:
Atenolol, a beta-blocker used to treat cardiovascular disease
Atrazine, an organic herbicide banned in the European Union which has been implicated in the decline of fish stocks and in changes in animal behavior
Carbamazepine, a mood-stabilizing drug used to treat bipolar disorder
Estrone, an estrogen hormone secreted by the ovaries and blamed for causing gender changes in fish
Gemfibrozil, an anti-cholesterol drug
Meprobamate, a tranquilizer used in psychiatric treatment
Naproxen, a painkiller and anti-inflammatory linked to increases in asthma incidence
Phenytoin, an anticonvulsant used to treat epilepsy

poison ivy

I have my oils shipped to my office so I get them as soon as they hit town and I open them as soon as I get them, occasionally people on the other side of the office yell at me what the **** did you open now. ( I had to promise not to open valerian in the office ever again) well you know how the oils affect toxic people, and we have some really toxic people here.
Any way I get heckled daily about being a witch doctor. But who do they come to with problems. I found out yesterday that one of the girls was going through my desk on Friday (while I was a C.A.R.E.) looking for my lavender oil she had a sun burn!!!
Then this week my best heckler, the girl who sits next to me and smells every thing I do, came to me. She ask what do you have for poison ivy? I did not have my reference=2 0book with me so I pulled out my favorite trusty fix everything oil THIEVES, and gave her a few drops. after I had her wash off the Windex she had been putting on it ( she says it dries it up) but it was not drying it at all. I told her it would only dry it up because it had alcohol in it and that Windex is not a good choice. Well guess what, the poison Ivy just started shriveling away she was really pleased. Every one should have a bottle of Lavender and a bottle of Thieves, if they can afford nothing else. Bev Scalf

water - FDA lack of rules

Even when bottled waters are covered by the FDA's rules, they are subject to less rigorous testing and purity standards than those which apply to city tap water (see chart below). For example, bottled water is required to be tested less frequently than city tap water for bacteria and chemical contaminants. In addition, bottled water rules allow for some contamination by E. coli or fecal coliform (which indicate possible contamination with fecal matter), contrary to tap water rules, which prohibit any confirmed contamination with these bacteria. Similarly, there are no requirements for bottled water to be disinfected or tested for parasites such as cryptosporidium or giardia, unlike the rules for big city tap water systems that use surface water sources.

Dr. Andrew Weil M.D.

The latest study of bottled water came from the Environmental Working Group (EWG), a Washington-based nonprofit organization that investigates pollutants and their impact on public health. The EWG report isn't the first or the most comprehensive on the subject of bottled water. In 1999, the National Resources Defense Council, a New York-based environmental advocacy group, tested more than 1,000 bottles of 103 brands of bottled water and found that about one-third violated state standards or microbial impurity guidelines. The following year, a Consumer Reports investigation concluded that eight of 10 five-gallon polycarbonate jugs tested contained residues of bisphenol A, an endocrine disrupter.
The EWG report, issued in October 2008, documented a surprising array of chemical contaminants in every bottled water brand analyzed. The contaminants included toxic byproducts of chlorination in the store brands of several large retail chains, at levels the same as those routinely found in tap water. The EWG said that it considered the results to "represent a snapshot of the market during the window of time" in which the samples were purchased.
Cancer-causing contaminants in bottled water tested "substantially exceeded the voluntary standards established by the bottled water industry," the EWG reported. The lab tests were conducted at the University of Iowa Hygienic Laboratory on 10 brands of bottled water purchased at retail outlets in nine states and the District of Columbia.

The contaminants included disinfection byproducts, common urban wastewater pollutants such as caffeine and pharmaceuticals; heavy metals and minerals including arsenic and radioactive isotopes; fertilizer residue (nitrate and ammonia); and a broad range of others, tentatively identified industrial chemicals used as solvents, plasticizers, viscosity decreasing agents, and propellants.

Youngliving tooth paste

I just had my yearly teeth checkup and passed with flying colors. Not so before Youngliving.
My hyginist said that my gums were in amazing shape - she was very impressed and ask what I had done to make the change. My spaces between the teeth were the same but Im thankful they were not worse. I told her about the tests done by Weber State University in Ogden Utah and how they found that the oils in my toothpaste kill 60 different bacteria. Brushing only kills 40% of the bugs in my mouth -- now I know the oils are killing the rest and I don't have to worry about gingivitis any more j

teeth

A 1995 study at the College of Pharmaceutical and Biological Science found the thyme essential oil even in itty bitty concentration like 500 parts per million or less killed all the organisms that are responsible for tooth decay and gingivitis and bad breath. There are actually 100 different studies out there that agree with this study. The Journal of the American Dental
Association say that the use of essentail oils is widely used to prevent and treat periodontitis and to prevent the formation of supragingival plaque.

Bruise

I have an amazing story, I've always bruised easily and had capillary walls break making big blue bruises on my skin. I read that essential oils help speed the healing and decrease the clot formation. Last week I brusied the whole tip of my thumb at work, it was just black. That night when I got home from work I applies cypress and lemongrass essential oils and in the morning the black was gone and the pain too. Yesterday at home, I did the same thing to my index finger but not quite as bad. I had the oil right there and applied them right away. The bruise never came and my finger hardly hurt. Again the oils I used were lemongrass and cypress. Joan

Home Spa lady -- travel

-Take footies to wear while in hotel room instead of being barefoot.
-Use one of the glasses in the bathroom to put your toothbrush in vertically, whether it has a cover or not. If it is not covered put the toothbrush handle inside of the glass and put the brush part at the top where it is not touching any surfaces.
-Take your own soap and carry it in a plastic soap tray. This is how I use my essential oils: (and they are absolutely essential - I would never travel without them for many reasons, one is that they naturally kill unwanted bacteria, virus, and fungus):
--Sprinkle several drops on the carpet throughout the room (if I'm barefoot) {I like Purification}
--Spray my favorite essential oil spray {Thieves spray bottle I carry in my purse} on the remote control and the earpiece and mouthpiece of the phone
--Sprinkle several drops of a good anti-microbial oil {Purification or Thieves} on a washcloth and stuff it into the vents of the a/c/heater {I love Purification mixed with orange for this}. Turn on the fan and run it so the oil diffuses throughout the room.
--If you must use the drawers, spray or drip a few drops of oil in the drawer or on a tissue and then put it in the drawer next to your clothes (lavender is good for this).
--Place a few drops of lemon (I always have lemon with me) on the bathroom counter and wipe it down
--Place a few drops of oil on the bed where you will sit (lavender) and put a few drops on a tissue and tuck under your pillow.

I had some peppermint along, it did help some. Got some more ideas? J

water

water quality should be tested , but as a rule of thumb a good charcoal filter is a good way to have great water in Colorado the filter should be replaced every 6 months or about 500 gallons on water run through. the county will test your water for about 6 or 8 things or content, give them a call and check prices, if hardness is found high it's better to buy bottled water. RO filter is high maintenance and is a great source of good water , about 450.00 dollars and 65.00 dollars every 6 months for filters replacement. I hope this helps.....dale

medicine in water

We are actually being exposed to medications that we are not even taking. . Many of these drugs are not even approved for use in humans. It is interesting that with all the problems of contaminants in our water (e.g., pesticides, herbicides, gasoline additive MTBE, chlorine, etc.) a much greater effort is expended to add fluoride to our water than cleaning up the existing supply. It is worth noting that there are no regulations in place requiring testing for these pharmaceutical contaminants or safety limits set.
So, not only do we need to be concerned about chlorine in the drinking water, but we actually need to factor in the drugs that are used or tossed away by society. T

Coke

As every schoolchild knows, the ingredients of Coca-Cola are one of the world’s best-kept secrets. In order to protect the mystique of The Real Thing, even subcontractors who bottle the stuff are kept in the dark, however their bottled water, Dasani, is The Real Thing. It is pure and simple tap water. To be fair to Coca-Cola, their water is cleaned as it is first passed through three filters intended to extract particles, organic debris and chlorine before a final reverse osmosis stage

lexan bottles

Because it is bad for the environment, bottled water is definitely not the best long-term choice. I came up with the solution of purchasing a quart Lexan bottle. This virtually indestructible plastic container is available in a variety of colors and is sold in nearly all camping or sports stores.
I take it and fill it with clean filtered water from home and bring it to restaurants with me. The Nalgene bottles are far superior to using recycled bottles because they have a wide cap, which allows you to regularly clean it and keep it from becoming contaminated with mold that happens on a regular basis when you use disposable water bottles. Brad

plastic bottles unhealthy

Research has shown that low BPA levels have had an adverse effect on prostate development, tumors, breast tissue development, sperm count and enlargement of fat cells in the body.
Scientists have warned against allowing any polycarbonate plastics near your food or water and stated the devastating effects of these chemicals posed the biggest risk to babies during early development.
Despite the warnings, polycarbonate plastics continue to be used in a wide variety of products including food storage cans, dental sealants and the Nalgene Lexan bottles.

educator

The big questian is should we be buying water? Which water? Would a water system for your home be better than using plastic bottles? What is wrong with city water? What about alkaline water? Anybody got some good answers? Holly

teeth Peggy

I have used Thieves on my teeth and gums for about 9 years. I has kept my gums at bay because of the crowns and bridge work that haunts my gums daily. If I didn't have thieves I'd be in trouble. I have used Melrose for cuts and scratches on my skin but have never used it inside of my mouth. I heals twice as fast as anything else I have ever used. I use a Sonicare toothbrush with either Thieves oil or the toothpaste. I also use the mouthwash when I want more protection. I guess that I would try the Thieves oil. Just swish in your mouth and let it work, then either swallow or spit out. I would spit until the gums are healed over well. Then I would use the mouthwash at bedtime after the Oil. Hope this helps. Perky girl teeth

clove is good for any discomfort. Warm salt water is probably best for a while, very warm, very salty. Thieves diluted to a non stinging level. Whatever, swish gently at first, more aggressively as the week progresses. Pertky girl
